All Central Zone Championship Meet info has been posted on SD
Swimming. Please carefully review meet invite information, if
you child qualifies or you think they may qualify prior to
deadline, please submit application. If you have any
questions w.r.t whether your child qualifies or not, please do not
hesitate to contact me.
The national “AAA” time standard
automatically qualifies the swimmer to swim that event at the
Central Zone Championship Meet. For those events that there is not an
“AAA” qualifier, the top swimmer in that event will
have the option to compete at zones. Our LSC is allowed to take
one non-AAA qualifier in the 9-10 age group and two non-AAA
qualifiers in the 11-12 and 13-14 age groups. Times will be
considered from the SD top 16 list and performance at the state
swim meet. Swimmers
who have sub “AAA” times and would like to be
considered for the zone team should submit a zone
application.
Qualifying Period: The
qualifying period is between August 7, 2009 and August 3,
2010. Times used for
zones must have been achieved in the above time
period.
New to 11-12 age groups
– prelim/finals.
New to 11-12 – 200
distance’s in Fly, Back and Breast (timed final events swam
at prelims).
Qualifications for the 11-12 200’s will be considered with
actual 200 times and 100 times.
